Sometimes I feel beautiful in soft light, in quiet moments when my body is resting and I\u2019m not performing for anyone. Sometimes it\u2019s when I laugh loudly, or when I wear something that hugs my shape and makes me feel like myself. Sometimes it\u2019s in the mirror, yes\u2014but sometimes it\u2019s in the way I comfort a friend, the way I parent gently, the way I move through the world with care. That\u2019s beauty too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I\u2019ve spent too long thinking I needed to look a certain way to be enough. But beauty isn\u2019t something I owe anyone. It\u2019s not even something I have to prove.
