There\u2019s this lie we\u2019re fed, over and over\u2014that if you live in a bigger body, or a body that doesn\u2019t match the beauty ideals of the moment, you should try to disappear. Dress to minimize. Sit in the back. Be quiet. Apologize with your posture. Wait until you\u2019ve \u201cfixed\u201d yourself to show up fully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But showing up exactly as you are\u2014in photos, in relationships, in dreams, in movement\u2014that\u2019s not vanity. That\u2019s radical courage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It takes guts to walk into a room knowing people might judge you before you even speak. It takes strength to post a picture where your body is soft, or round, or aged, or scarred, and still say, \u201cI deserve to be seen.\u201d It takes clarity to choose joy in your body even when the world tells you to feel shame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And here\u2019s the truth: courage doesn\u2019t always feel powerful. Sometimes it feels like a shaky breath before stepping outside.
