Sometimes we feel like we’re making progress, riding high with everything falling into place. Other times, it feels like we’re pulling back, stepping away, or even losing ground. But just like the tides of the ocean, these moments of retreat aren’t signs of failure—they’re part of a natural rhythm.

When the tide pulls back, it’s not disappearing; it’s gathering strength, preparing to come back with even more force. Life works the same way. Those quieter, slower times—when we pause, reflect, or face challenges—are moments to recharge, learn, and heal. They give us the chance to collect ourselves so we can move forward again with fresh energy and clarity.

This ebb and flow is how growth happens. It’s messy and unpredictable, but it’s also beautiful and necessary. Trusting this natural rhythm helps us accept that setbacks or pauses aren’t the end—they’re just part of the ongoing dance of life, moving us closer to where we need to be.

Life doesn’t move in a straight line.
