That somehow, a lower weight meant a better me\u2014more disciplined, more desirable, more acceptable. But that number never told the whole story. It never held the ache in my knees after carrying my children. It didn\u2019t reflect the laughter in my belly or the resilience in my muscles. It had no idea how many times I got back up after being knocked down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A scale can\u2019t measure how fiercely I love or how deeply I\u2019ve grown. It doesn\u2019t see the early mornings I pulled myself together when life felt too heavy, or the strength it takes to choose nourishment over restriction. That number doesn\u2019t know biology, or trauma, or genes. It doesn\u2019t account for the complexity of hormones, metabolism, survival, or the way bodies adapt when we\u2019ve lived through stress and scarcity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I am movement\u2014I stretch, walk, dance, rest.<br>I am memory\u2014of every fight and every healing moment.<br>I am biology\u2014bones and blood and breath, all doing their best.<br>I am will\u2014the quiet force that says, \u201cI choose life,\u201d even when it\u2019s hard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No number will ever capture the totality of who I am. Because I\u2019m not a statistic. I\u2019m not a goal weight. I\u2019m a full, living human being\u2014capable of joy, worthy of love, and deserving of peace in my body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The scale may reflect gravity.
