If the Lord doesn’t guard the city, the guards are watching for nothing.”

Who is building your life, your dreams, and your work? Is the Lord at the center of it all, or are other influences driving you? Is it social media shaping your aspirations? Are your friends and family dictating your choices? Or is it a desire for material gain and worldly validation?

There is a stark difference between building with godly desires and building with self-centered motives. A godly desire seeks to help others, create meaningful opportunities, and provide services that add value to the world. It aims to glorify God and fulfill His purpose. On the other hand, desires rooted in self-glorification focus on fleeting pleasures—like driving the latest car model or upgrading to the newest phone every year.

If the Lord is not building your house, your labor is in vain. It doesn’t matter how much effort you pour into it; without God, it won’t stand the test of time. Yes, we all have pressing needs—bills to pay, children to educate, and responsibilities to meet—but when God is the builder, your efforts bear lasting fruit. His work is not dependent on the state of the economy or worldly circumstances.

Consider the story of Jacob. In a time of famine and uncertainty, he sowed seeds, and God blessed him with a hundredfold harvest. Jacob became the wealthiest man in the region, not because of favorable economic conditions, but because he trusted God to build and bless his work. God’s plans are not bound by the limitations of the world.

So let this be a reminder: invite God into your plans, your work, and your dreams. Let Him build, because what He builds will never fail—not even in times of drought, famine, or hardship.

Once again, I felt led by the Holy Spirit to share this, and I hope it blesses your day as much as it has blessed mine. Let God build, and trust that His work will prosper in all seasons.

Have a beautiful day. 🖤

Psalms 127:1 ICB “[1] If the Lord doesn’t build the house, the builders are working for nothing.
