The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.”

This morning, the Lord whispered a simple yet profound phrase to my heart: “The praying father.” During my devotion, I came across this verse, which perfectly reminded me of our Bishop at church.

Throughout our recent crusade, Bishop truly demonstrated what it means to lead with wisdom and prayer. On the night the massive chrome stand was being set up, he didn’t just rely on the team’s physical efforts. He fervently prayed, especially for everyone’s safety. Then, when it was time to dismantle the stand—a huge and potentially dangerous process—he paused everything and asked us to pray together.

This act of foresight and precaution was rooted in faith. I watched him walk around the bus park, covering every individual in prayer and committing the process to God. His actions reflected the wisdom of a prudent person, as described in today’s verse. Instead of going blindly and risking harm, we took the time to involve God in every step, and the results spoke for themselves.

The dismantling process went smoothly, with no incidents. This reminded me of Joshua 1:8, which says, “Then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” Truly, we experienced God’s protection and His “good success” from the start to the end of the crusade.

I also have to mention the incredible kindness and service I witnessed during the crusade. Carol, for instance, was instrumental in keeping us warm and well-fed. She donated blankets and socks for those staying late and tirelessly prepared the most amazing tea. Whether people were cheering the work on or physically involved in the setup, Carol ensured they were cared for. It was a beautiful scene of selfless service—not to men, but to God.

Watching everyone give their all—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—was a powerful reminder that when we serve God wholeheartedly, His purposes always prevail. God is so good!

On a personal note, there was a moment yesterday when I became so emotional that I had to step aside to pray. I found myself pouring out my heart to God, voicing all my emotions to Him. There’s something profoundly healing about sharing our struggles and joys with the Lord. As I spoke to Him, I felt the heaviness in my heart lift. It’s a reminder that God is always there to listen, comfort, and strengthen us.

This Christmas season, however, remains a challenging time for me. My heart feels heavy for personal reasons, which I may share later. On top of that, my nanny leaves today for her break, and the reliever I had hoped for is no longer available. Yet, like our Bishop, I am choosing to take my concerns to the Lord in prayer, trusting Him to provide.

Interestingly, a friend recently asked me to pray for her as she hires a nanny. She said I seem to have a grace for finding good househelps. Isn’t that the grace of God? Even in our struggles, He allows us to be a blessing to others.

As I reflect on this crusade, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude. From Bishop’s unwavering prayers to Carol’s heartfelt acts of service, to every team member who sacrificed their time, I’ve seen God’s love in action.

I also want to take this moment to thank you for reading my musings. Writing is how I best express myself. If you asked me to say what I’ve written here, I’d probably summarise it in two words and be done! But through writing, I get to share my heart, and I appreciate you taking the time to journey with me through my reflections.

If you missed the crusade, don’t worry. I’ll share details of the next one soon. In the meantime, join me in giving God all the glory for the incredible success we’ve experienced. He is so faithful!

Hallelujah! Let’s keep praying, serving, and trusting in His goodness. God bless you!

Proverbs 22:3 NLT “A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions.
